The price hike is due to the recent tax increase on PCBA imports, the company said. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is now starts at Rs 14,999 for the 4GB RAM plus 64GB storage.

There’s another variant available at Rs 12,999 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The smartphone is a direct competitor to Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5. In comparison, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 offers a dual-camera setup of 16-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors. Its front 16-megapixel camera also comes with ‘bokeh’ mode.
Another highlight of the smartphone is its massive 5,000mAh battery which further comes with fast-charging support. On the software front, it runs stock Android 8.1 Oreo. More features include a 5.99-inch full HD+ display, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 processor.
The base model of Honor 7X is priced at Rs 12,999 with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Honor 7X has an 18:9 FullView display to offer along with a 16-megapixel dual-camera setup. Under the hood of the smartphone, Honor 7X runs a Kirin 659 octa-core processor. Software wise the smartphone runs custom EMUI 5,1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
