The Indian market is flooded with smartphones priced under Rs 15,000. Until last year, the budget segment mostly featured phones with top-of-the-line specifications with aggressive pricing. The base model of Redmi Note 5 Pro with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage comes under the price bracket retailing at s 14,999.
Redmi Note 5 offers a 5.99-inch full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio, a Snapdragon 625 processor, a and a 4,000mAh battery. The smartphone’s 12-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel selfie cameras produce decent results. Oppo Realme 1Oppo Realme 1 is a new entrant in the budget segment. While it starts at Rs 8,999 there’s a 6GB RAM plus 128GB storage variant available at Rs 13,990. Oppo Realme 1’s design stands out for a budget phone which it flaunts in a plastic body but with a glossy finish. The phone comes in two colour options of diamond black, solar red, and a limited edition silver.
Other than the design, the smartphone also offers a decent set of specifications like a MediaTek Helio P60 processor, Color OS 5.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo, and a 3,140mAh battery.
