Xiaomi on Wednesday launched three new devices in India including the successor to Redmi Note 4 and a new smart TV.

The company launched Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphones. It also introduced first ever smart TV in India, Mi LED Smart TV 4 featuring a 55-inch bezel-less 4K UHD display.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 starts at a price of 9,999, while the Redmi Note 5 Pro will retail at a starting price of 13,999. Xiaomi's Mi LED Smart TV 4 has a price tag of 39,999.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 features a notable upgrade with its 5.99-inch FHD+ 18:9 display. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 626 processor paired with 3GB RAM plus 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM plus 64GB storage. The higher model is priced at 11,999.

As for Xiaomi's Redmi Note 5 Pro, the smartphone's USP is its dual-camera setup at the rear. The setup includes a combination of 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors which work together to produce DSLR-like bokeh effect. The smartphone also sports a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor for selfies.

Xiaomi's Mi LED Smart TV 4 priced at 39,999 and is claimed to be the "world's thinnest LED TV" with only 4.99m thickness. It has a 55-inch 4K HDR display, and is powered by Amlogic 64-bit quad-core processor. Mi LED Smart TV 4 is powered by PatchWall Design which offers over 500,000 hours of content across 15 Indic languages, universal search option, and more.

Here are the highlights from Xiaomi's Redmi Note 5 launch event in India

11.58AM: We are just a few minutes away from the official launch. The company has already dropped hints about launching the Redmi Note 4 successor.

12:02PM: After the success of Redmi Note 4, Xiaomi has aggressively targeted the budget segment. The company has launched phones like Xiaomi Redmi 5A and Redmi Y1 under the 10,000 category.

12.07PM: The event is expected to begin in a few minutes. Let's recap the specifications of the Redmi Note 4. The smartphone is available in 2GB RAM/32GB storage, 3GB RAM/32GB storage, 4GB/64GB storage versions. All the models are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor.

The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF (phase detection autofocus), an f/2.0 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash. The 5-megapixel front camera has 85-degree wide angle lens.

12.38PM: Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro packs 6GB of RAM, highest any budget Xiaomi has offered in the budget category.

12.42PM: Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with a dual-camera setup, making it the first Redmi phone to feature the setup.

12:44PM: The dual-camera setup includes a combination of 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual sensors at the back. It features a 20-megapixel front facing camera with Sony IMX376 sensor. It further comes with Electronic Image Stablisation for video recording.
