Amazon has quietly started flight ticket bookings in India. The e-commerce platform is currently offering domestic flight bookings with cashback offers.

First reported by Skift, Amazon’s flight booking service is powered by online travel agency Cleartrip. Amazon was pretty discreet with this launch as there’s no mention of flight bookings even on the homepage. One can get to it by searching for flight tickets on Amazon India and tapping on the displayed banner.

There are cashback offers for Amazon Prime members and other customers as well. These offers are valid starting today and will continue till May 31. Amazon Prime members will get Rs 800 back on flight tickets below Rs 8,000. For flight tickets between Rs 8,000 and Rs 19,999, Prime members will get cashback of Rs 1,200.

Amazon is also offering cashback of Rs 2,000 on tickets priced at Rs 20,000 and above. As for non-Prime members, they will receive half of the cashback eligible for Prime members. Cashback will be credited to the user’s Amazon Pay balance within three working days.

Amazon India’s ticket booking page is pretty clean with interactive filters. On the left side of the page, users can view the number of stops, departure and arrival times for flights. It also shows filters for tickets which are refundable, handbag only, and free meals.

Amazon India also promises lowest cancellation fees, transparent pricing, and cashback offers. Amazon users will also be able to book their tickets fast with auto-fill option for personal data and payment details.
