Apple Event 2025: Everything Apple launched
Apple wrapped up its annual fall event, aptly called "Awe Dropping," and it had plenty of moments that lived up to the name. While the much-rumoured Siri upgrade was missing, the company delivered a slim new iPhone Air, redesigned iPhone 17 Pro models, and AirPods Pro with heart rate sensors. The regular iPhone 17 finally gains the long-awaited ProMotion display, and the Apple Watch lineup gets major health-focused upgrades. Apple also confirmed release dates for its next-generation operating systems. Here’s everything announced at the showcase.
iPhone Air is Apple’s slimmest iPhone yet
Note! The name is not iPhone 17 Air. It's iPhone Air. After 18 years, Apple has finally given the iPhone an "Air" moment. The iPhone Air is the thinnest iPhone ever at just 5.6 millimetres thick and 156 grams in weight. Built with 80 percent recycled titanium, it combines durability with a sleek design.
iPhone Air, not iPhone 17 Air, launched as Apple’s thinnest phone till date, priced at…
Replacing the Plus model, the iPhone Air sits between the iPhone 17 and Pro lineup, priced at ₹1,19,900. It offers a 6.5-inch ProMotion display, the A19 Pro chip, and a single 48MP camera that supports four focal lengths. It also debuts Apple’s in-house N1 wireless networking chip and C1X cellular modem.
The thin frame comes with trade-offs. There’s no dual camera system, the battery is smaller compared to other iPhones, and it relies exclusively on eSIM without support for physical SIM cards. Apple positions the Air as a new category within the iPhone lineup, similar to what it did previously with Plus and Mini, now borrowing the successful "Air" branding seen on MacBooks and iPads.
iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max get a fresh design
The iPhone 17 Pro lineup finally moves away from the stove-top camera design that debuted on the iPhone 11 Pro. Apple has introduced the "plateau," a glass panel stretching across the rear, shifting the Apple logo slightly lower to align with MagSafe coils.
iPhone Air launched at Rs. 1.20 Lakhs, but is it the right phone for you?
For the first time in years, Apple has returned to aluminium for the Pro models, citing better heat management than titanium. A new vapour chamber cooling system further improves sustained performance.
This new structure also allows for larger batteries, with the Pro Max offering up to 39 hours of video playback. The rear camera system now includes three 48MP sensors. The telephoto camera uses a next-gen tetraprism with a larger sensor, enabling 8x optical zoom at 200mm, along with 4x zoom at 100mm for classic portraits. Digital zoom extends to 40x.
Filmmakers also get new tools like ProRes RAW, Apple Log 2, genlock for multi-camera syncing, and Dual Capture for simultaneous front-and-rear recording. The A19 Pro chip delivers 40 percent higher sustained performance compared to last year.
The iPhone 17 Pro comes in 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch sizes, with colours limited to deep blue, cosmic orange, and silver. Prices start at ₹1,34,000 for the Pro and ₹1,49,900 for the Pro Max, with a new 2TB storage option at ₹2,29,900.
iPhone 17 finally gets ProMotion
Apple has brought its 120Hz ProMotion display to the regular iPhone 17, a long-requested feature. The 6.3-inch panel supports refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz and reaches a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Bezels are slimmer, though the overall design remains unchanged from last year.
The dual 48MP rear cameras include a significantly upgraded ultra-wide sensor that captures 4x more detail. The front camera is an 18MP unit with Center Stage support, automatically framing group selfies and rotating seamlessly between portrait and landscape.
Powered by the A19 chip, the iPhone 17 offers up to 30 hours of video playback. Storage starts at 256GB, replacing the outdated 128GB base model. Available in black, lavender, mist blue, sage, and white, the iPhone 17 is priced at ₹82,900, with pre-orders opening September 12.
Apple introduces official crossbody straps
Crossbody straps for iPhones are not new, but Apple is now making its own. Made with recycled yarn and flexible magnets for adjustable length, the straps come in ten colours and cost $59.
New TechWoven cases replace FineWoven
Apple has replaced the underwhelming FineWoven cases with TechWoven, which use multicoloured yarns for a textured finish. The new cases are scratch- and stain-resistant, available in black, blue, purple, sienna, and green.
The iPhone Air also gets ultra-thin protective cases to maintain its slim profile, including translucent and bumper options. For the iPhone 17, Apple offers clear and silicone cases in five colours.
AirPods Pro 3 add heart rate sensors
The AirPods Pro 3 come with built-in heart rate monitoring using infrared sensors, tracking over 50 workout types in sync with iPhone data. Noise cancellation is now 4x stronger than the original, and fit has been refined with five ear tip sizes, including a new XXS option.
With IP57 water resistance, personalised coaching via Workout Buddy, and real-time translation across five languages at launch, the AirPods Pro 3 are Apple’s most advanced earbuds yet. They deliver up to 8 hours of playback with ANC, priced at ₹25,900, available September 19.
Apple Watch Series 11 focuses on health
The Apple Watch Series 11 introduces hypertension notifications, using long-term optical heart sensor readings to detect chronic high blood pressure risks. A new Sleep Score system provides detailed insights using data from over five million nights of studies.
It also brings 5G connectivity, improved scratch resistance with Ion-X glass, and up to 24 hours of battery life. Prices start at ₹46,900.
Apple Watch Ultra 3 adds satellite connectivity
Designed for adventurers, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 supports satellite communication for emergency texts, location sharing, and messaging when off-grid. Apple re-engineered the radio and antenna to boost signal strength for satellites in low-Earth orbit.
With the largest Apple Watch display to date, thinner bezels, and LTPO3 technology, the Ultra 3 delivers 42 hours of standard battery life or 72 hours in Low Power Mode. It starts at ₹89,900.
Apple Watch SE 3 gets Always-On display
The most affordable Apple Watch SE 3 now includes an Always-On display, 5G support, faster charging, and improved durability. It also offers health features like sleep scoring, ovulation estimates, and sleep apnea detection. Starting price is ₹25,900.
iOS 26 and other OS updates arrive September 15
Apple has confirmed the release dates for its 2026 operating systems: iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe 26, and watchOS 26. They roll out on September 15 with a new "Liquid Glass" design language that introduces translucent elements across the interface.

Apple Event 2025 updates: iPhone Air launched at Rs. 1.20 Lakhs, but is it the right phone for you?
Who should buy the iPhone Air?
iPhone Air could a perfect for people who prefer compact and lightweight phones. While flagship phones are getting bulkier with big camera modules, the iPhone Air could come as a fresh option. Although it has a sleek design, it features a big 6.5-inch display, making it perfect for multimedia usage. Therefore, it can fulfil several requirements.
Since the iPhone Air lacks a premium camera setup and the battery life may not be as impressive, the smartphone could be useful for casual smartphone users. However, it may come as a pricy proposition at Rs. 1,19,900. Being an iPhone 16e user myself, a single camera and a decent battery life do not come as a major hurdle as a casual user.
Apple Event 2025 updates: You can't exchange your iPhone 16e to buy a new iPhone 17 series mobile
From the iPhone 16 series to the iPhone 7 Plus, several models are listed for exchange at great rates. However, one iPhone 16 model is not eligible for trade-in yet. As per our findings, the iPhone 16e model can not be exchanged for any of the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, or iPhone Air models.
Apple Event 2025 updates: iPhone 17 is the phone most people should buy this year- 4 big reasons why
Now that the iPhone 17 Awe dropping event is done and dusted, I’ve had a little while to think about all the new phones. And this year, I think the vanilla iPhone 17 should be the phone most people get. Well, there are several good reasons for it, including its brand-new hardware. Read on for the details.
120Hz ProMotion display with 3000nits support
Now, this arguably has to be the highlight of the device, and it has been a long time coming.
You get more storage for less price
Yes, for ₹82,900, the iPhone 17 brings 256 GB of storage. For the same amount of storage with the iPhone 16, you had to pay ₹89,900. So essentially, if you think about it, the iPhone has a price drop. But at the same time, the price of entry is higher. But it’s just ₹3,000 more compared to the iPhone 16. And for that money, you are getting the extra storage, which would be handy to store videos, photos, and apps.
Compact size with 6.3” display
Apart from the iPhone 17 Pro, the only other phone in the iPhone 17 lineup with a 6.3-inch screen is the iPhone 17.
Almost the same great performance as the Pro phones
iPhone 17 packs the 3nm A19 chip and not the A19 Pro. But for most people, this performance is going to be ample to run most things they do, be it video editing on your phone, photo editing, playing AAA games, including console-quality games like Resident Evil, and more.
iPhone 17 Pro trade-in offer: Apple offering just 40% of iPhone 16 Pro’s MRP when exchanging
We tried exchanging for the iPhone 17 Pro base model in 256GB. And here’s what Apple’s website promised as exchange prices for the various models, all identified using our own models:

iPhone 12 128GB: ₹16,900

Note that the new Cosmic Orange colour is only available with the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Apple Event 2025 Live Updates: iPhone 17 Pro launched with all-aluminum design
Apple has announced the iPhone 17 Pro, the flagship model of its new iPhone 17 series, alongside the standard iPhone 17 and the all-new iPhone Air. The iPhone 17 Pro marks a return to an all-aluminum build, replacing the titanium frame used in previous Pro models. Apple says the choice of aluminum improves heat dissipation while keeping the device lightweight and durable. The back of the phone features a “full-width camera plateau,” accommodating the advanced triple-lens system.
Under the hood, the iPhone 17 Pro is powered by Apple’s new A19 Pro processor, which delivers significant performance gains over the previous generation. The device is designed to handle demanding tasks such as professional-grade video editing, AI-powered photography, and intensive gaming without thermal throttling, aided by an improved heat management system. Connectivity is upgraded with Apple’s latest C1x modem and N1 chip, supporting Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread for faster and more reliable connections.
The camera system on the iPhone 17 Pro has been significantly upgraded. It includes a 48MP main sensor, an improved telephoto lens, and advanced computational photography features. Apple also introduced software enhancements for the Pro models, including dual video recording and advanced pro-level controls for photography and videography. The camera plateau design allows for larger sensors and improved optical performance without compromising the phone’s sleek profile.
Apple’s iOS 26, announced earlier this year, launches with the iPhone 17 series and introduces the Liquid Glass design language. This visual update gives many user interface elements a glossy, semi-transparent appearance, which adds depth and a modern aesthetic across notifications, widgets, and app icons. While the design has been polarising during beta testing, it represents Apple’s continued focus on integrating software and hardware design for a cohesive experience.
The iPhone 16 Pro, released last year, was a cautious update that focused on slightly larger screens, improved battery life, and the Camera Control button along the side. It also marked Apple’s first serious attempt at Apple Intelligence, though several announced features did not ship on time and faced criticism for lagging behind competitors. With the iPhone 17 Pro, Apple appears to be taking a bolder approach, combining design changes, hardware upgrades, and refined AI features in its most capable standard Pro model to date.
Apple Event 2025 Live Updates: iPhone Air launched as the thinnest iPhone yet
Apple has unveiled the iPhone Air, its thinnest iPhone ever at just 5.6mm, promising “pro performance in a thin and light design,” according to CEO Tim Cook. The new model is part of Apple’s plan to refresh the iPhone lineup over the next three years with new designs and form factors, rather than incremental upgrades.
The iPhone Air features a 6.5-inch ProMotion display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Apple describes the design as its most durable yet, with a ceramic shield enclosing a titanium frame on both sides. Despite its ultra-slim body, the phone delivers all-day battery life, supporting up to 40 hours of video playback. To maximise space for the battery, the iPhone Air only supports eSIMs.
Under the hood, the iPhone Air is powered by Apple’s new A19 Pro processor, the most powerful iPhone chip to date. It also comes with the new C1x modem, which offers twice the speed of the previous C1, and Apple’s N1 chip design, enabling Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread connectivity. These upgrades position the iPhone Air as a high-performance device in a lightweight form factor.
The camera system has also been improved. The iPhone Air includes a 48-megapixel dual rear camera and a 12MP telephoto lens. The front-facing 18MP selfie camera supports Centre Stage, a feature that automatically keeps everyone in frame, eliminating the need to rotate the phone for landscape shots.
The launch of the iPhone Air coincides with iOS 26, which introduces Apple’s new Liquid Glass design language. The update adds transparent, “bubbly” effects to navigational elements and icons, a design feature that has received mixed reactions during beta testing.
Apple’s iPhone Air is intended to signal a shift in the company’s approach to its flagship devices, offering powerful hardware, advanced connectivity, and innovative design in a remarkably thin and lightweight package.
Key Features of iPhone Air:
Ultra-thin 5.6mm design with ceramic shield and titanium frame
6.5-inch ProMotion display with 120Hz refresh rate and 3,000 nits peak brightness
A19 Pro processor with C1x modem and N1 chip supporting Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread
48MP dual rear camera with 12MP telephoto lens; 18MP front camera with Centre Stage
eSIM only support
Up to 40 hours of video playback battery life
Ships with iOS 26 featuring Liquid Glass design

Apple Event 2025 Live Updates: iPhone 17 unveiled with larger 6.3-inch display

Apple has officially announced the iPhone 17, the latest iteration of its standard iPhone model. The new device features a larger 6.3-inch screen with a 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate and comes in subtly refreshed colour options, while retaining much of the iPhone 16’s overall design.
Last year, the iPhone 16 introduced several key updates that carried over to the standard lineup. These included the Action Button, previously exclusive to Pro models, a reintroduction of the vertical dual-camera layout last seen on the iPhone 12, and the Camera Control button, which debuted on the iPhone 16 Pro.

iPhone 17 now features a Super Retina XDR OLED display with ProMotion technology that supports an adaptive 1–120Hz refresh rate, previously limited to Pro models. Apple Event 2025 Live Updates: Apple Watch SE 3 launched with always-on display at $249
Apple has introduced the new Apple Watch SE 3, its latest entry-level smartwatch, at the “Awe Dropping” event alongside the iPhone 17 series. The SE 3 now includes an always-on display for the first time, a faster S10 processor, and improved battery life.
The new model also supports double-tap and wrist-flick gestures, sleep apnea detection, sleep scores, 5G cellular, and playback of music and podcasts directly through the built-in speaker. Charging speeds are claimed to be twice as fast as the previous SE, with battery life rated at up to 18 hours.
This is the third-generation Apple Watch SE, succeeding the 2022 version. Like its predecessors, it blends features from past flagship models into a more affordable package. With a starting price of $249, Apple aims to keep the SE line a strong entry point for users wanting a capable smartwatch at a lower cost than the Series or Ultra models.
Apple Event 2025 Live Updates: Apple Watch Ultra 3 launched with watchOS 26
Apple has unveiled the Apple Watch Ultra 3, the latest version of its premium smartwatch line built for endurance and performance. The Ultra series, introduced in 2022, is aimed at athletes and outdoor users with features such as extended battery life, high-brightness displays, and advanced GPS tracking.
The new Ultra 3 succeeds the Ultra 2, which was launched in 2023 along with a special black edition. While Apple has yet to detail major hardware overhauls, the Ultra line continues to stand out for its rugged design and long-lasting power. For context, the Ultra 2 promised up to 36 hours of normal use, setting it apart from the standard Apple Watch models.
Alongside the Ultra 3, Apple is rolling out watchOS 26 this fall. The new software brings Apple Intelligence to the wrist, including a Workout Buddy feature that provides personalised feedback and motivation. Other updates include an improved Smart Stack, a wrist flick gesture to dismiss calls and notifications, and the new Liquid Glass design language that will unify Apple’s product ecosystem.
The Apple Watch Ultra range has traditionally commanded a premium, starting at $799, and the Ultra 3 is expected to continue in that price bracket while doubling down on durability and performance for demanding users.
Apple Event 2025 Live Updates: Apple Watch Series 11 brings 5G and new health features
Apple has unveiled the Apple Watch Series 11, which continues with a familiar design but introduces meaningful upgrades under the hood. The highlight is 5G connectivity, a first for Apple’s smartwatch lineup, replacing the slower 4G LTE found in earlier models. The new Watch also introduces advanced health tracking, including the ability to monitor hypertension and chronic high blood pressure by analysing data collected over 30 days.
Last year’s Series 10 delivered a thinner and lighter body compared to the Series 9, while also offering the biggest and brightest OLED screen ever in an Apple Watch. It was also the first model to detect sleep apnea and allow its speaker to be used for music and podcasts. While Series 11 looks similar externally, Apple is clearly focusing this time on connectivity and health innovations rather than design overhauls.
The Series 11 will launch with watchOS 26, which adds several new features powered by Apple Intelligence. These include a wrist flick gesture to dismiss calls, alarms, and notifications, plus an upgraded Smart Stack for quicker access to important information. A new Workout Buddy provides personalised insights and motivation, while the overall interface gets refreshed with Apple’s new Liquid Glass design language that will also appear across other Apple devices.
Together, these improvements position the Apple Watch Series 11 as Apple’s most advanced wearable yet, combining faster connectivity, deeper health monitoring, and smarter everyday tools.

Apple Event 2025 Live Updates: AirPods Pro 3 launched with major audio and translation upgrades
Apple has introduced the AirPods Pro 3, its first major update to the Pro line in three years. CEO Tim Cook highlighted the company’s continued push in premium audio, calling the new model a step forward in sound innovation.
The AirPods Pro 3 bring significant audio improvements, with a wider sound stage and enhanced noise cancellation. Apple claims the earphones now deliver the world’s best active noise cancellation, powered by foam-infused ear tips for stronger isolation. The company says ANC is now twice as effective as before.
Another headline feature is live translation. With this, the AirPods Pro 3 can lower the volume of a foreign speaker’s voice and play back the translated version in your own language, making them far more versatile in everyday situations.
Beyond the new Pro model, Apple also announced upcoming features for AirPods via iOS 26. Users will be able to use AirPods as a camera remote for the iPhone, while AirPods 4 and AirPods Pro 2 will now support studio-quality audio across songs, podcasts, and videos. Call quality has been enhanced, charging reminders improved, and playback will automatically pause if the system detects you have fallen asleep.
The last major update to AirPods Pro came three years ago with the second generation, which added better ANC, improved sound, and a built-in speaker in the case. In 2023, Apple followed up with dust resistance and a USB-C charging case. The AirPods Pro 3 now look set to raise the bar once again.

With pre-orders likely to open in India within days, Apple is clearly betting big on its growing retail and manufacturing footprint in the country. Indian buyers are known to value both status and cutting-edge technology, making the iPhone 17 series a likely success despite premium pricing. The anticipation is palpable, and Apple fans are counting down the minutes until the official reveal confirms all the details.

Apple Event 2025 LIVE updates: Will Apple increase price of iPhone 17 series?
Apple’s pricing strategy will be under the spotlight at today’s launch. Since 2020, the base iPhone has started at $800 and the top-end model at $1,200, but analysts believe Apple could raise prices by $50 to $100 this year. Rising costs and tariff uncertainty may push the company to increase prices, though doing so risks dampening demand.
