WhatsApp rolls out new feature to allow user to message themself
WhatsApp stated that this feature will be available on both Android and iPhone platform and will be launched to all users in the coming weeks.
WhatsApp has rolled out a new feature termed as 'Message yourself'. It is a one to one chat option where user can send notes and reminders to itself. Users can keep track of their to-dos, send themselves notes, reminders, shopping lists on WhatsApp, the instant messaging platform added.

WhatsApp stated that this feature will be available on both Android and iPhone platform and will be launched to all users in the coming weeks.
Although it is possible to message oneself even without this feature, but it require to use click to WhatsApp to launch it on WhatsApp for Android.
How to use the Message Yourself feature:
Step 1: Open your WhatsApp
Step 2: Create new chat
Step 3: You will be able to see your contact at the top of the list
Step 4: Click on your number and Start Messaging!
Meta-owned WhatsApp is also testing a feature allowing users to track call history within its desktop app. The feature is presently available for desktop beta users only as WhatsApp has released the beta for Windows 2.2246.4.0 update on the Microsoft Store.
Notably, several other messaging platforms already have similar one to one chat feature embedded on their platform. Telegram offers ‘Saved Messages’ feature that enable users bookmark messages, save their notes and reminders that can be accessed later.
Another app Signal has a feature named ‘Note to Self’ that lets user create messages for personal use. Similarly, Slack, a messaging app for business, has a particular space - Jot Something Down- for users to send notes to themselves.
