Parents give a lot of thought and time when selecting a school for their child. Curriculum, teaching standards, school infrastructure, fee, location and safety— all are crucial while making that choice.

Earlier, there were a few options in curriculum and a small list of old and established institutions to choose from. Now, new-age campuses and legislation, such as the Right to Education Act, are revolutionizing school education. With huge spike in the number of schools and a wider choice of Indian and international curricula, the task of finding the best school is now tougher than ever for parents.

Every year, Hindustan Times conducts HT Top Schools survey to help parents in choosing the best school for their child. The survey, now in its 9th year, ranks the top 10 schools of Mumbai on the basis various parameters. The schools are ranked at an overall level and also by five different zones in Mumbai – North, South, East, West, Thane and Navi Mumbai. This year, we are introducing a separate ranking for International board schools as well.

The methodology used to select the city’s top schools involves a formula that has proved its efficacy since 2009, when HT first gave you a list of Mumbai’s top schools. Over the years, some of your suggestions have been incorporated in the selection process.

The survey for 2018 is now open. To participate in the HT Top schools survey, download the nomination form from here and send it to us by July 30. All details are given in the form.
