Gehlot govt charges Pehlu Khan, killed by mob in 2017, for smuggling cattle, BJP says vindicated

While the police chargesheeted Khan’s sons Irsad (25) and Arif (22) under sections 5, 8 and 9, charges have been framed against the deceased under section 6 of the Rajasthan Bovine Animal (Prohibition of Slaughter and Regulation of Temporary Migration or Export) Act, 1995.

Judicial probe into Alwar lynching begins, NHRC seeks report in 15 days

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) took cognisance of the incident and has issued a notice to the Rajasthan government and sought a report from the state within 15 days.

Lynching won’t stop till cow gets status of Rashtra Mata: Hyderabad BJP MLA

T Raja Singh Lodh, BJP MLA of Goshamahal in Hyderabad, said in a video message on a social networking website on Sunday that he does not want “khoon-kharaba” (bloodletting) on cow protection, but if lynching has to stop, cow must be declared “Mother of the Nation”.
