Chileans vote in favour of rewriting Constitution

The country’s Electoral Service said about 78% ballots of the 7.3 million votes counted favoured drawing up a new constitution, while just under 22% were opposed. The current constitution was ‘imposed’ by General Augusto Pinochet four decades ago.

Chile court orders seizure of $1.6 million from Pinochet
