Pre-monsoon showers in Pune for six more days

IMD stated that the monsoon is very likely to extend to north coastal Maharashtra, including Mumbai with heavy to very-heavy rains at a few places with extremely heavy, that is more than 19.5 cm rainfall at isolated places, between June 9 and June 12.

IMD has predicted thunderstorm, accompanied with gusty winds, at isolated places over Marathwada region and central Maharashtra on May 31.

Govt plans hi-tech mapping of Ganga to identify pollution sources

Aerial photography and field surveys will be conducted as part of the project, which will be completed in 15 months.
Officials involved in the mapping project will use the digital elevation model technology, an important tool for river basin management planning, to ensure accurate data collection.
