Akal Takht, SGPC release Nanakshahi calendar

Modified version of Nanakshahi calendar again sparks controversy

Ever since the SGPC adopted it in 2003, the Nanakshahi calendar has been courting controversies on certain issues including the dates of religious festivals and ‘gurpurbs’.
