Hiren Bhagat booked in yet another extortion case

Police have registered a case against Hiren Bhagat for allegedly extorting around ₹9 crore from a businessman on the pretext of protecting his son from arrest by the ED. Bhagat will be arrested soon. The businessman's son was arrested by the ED and when he asked Bhagat for his money, he allegedly threatened him. Bhagat was previously arrested in connection with an alleged extortion bid of ₹164 crore on a developer.

Two pose as Narwekar’s men to extort money; one arrested

Police in Mumbai have registered a case against two people who claimed to be associated with assembly speaker Rahul Narwekar and attempted to extort money from individuals. One of the fraudsters has been arrested, while the search for the other is ongoing. The incident came to light when the accused approached a travel agency demanding money, claiming to be working for Narwekar. The police have booked the accused under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.

SGPC general house passes resolution against police action at Sultanpur Lodhi gurdwara

In the special meeting of the general house of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) held on Thursday, a resolution was passed in the case of police entering Gurdwara Akal Bunga Sahib, Sultanpur Lodhi, with shoes, firing, throwing tear gas shells and alleged violation of maryada (conduct).
