Boyi Lohith, a student of Class 10 in a private school at Pedagantyada locality in Andhra Pradesh, died in a private hospital on Monday night, but the incident came to light only on Wednesday, when his uncle Puli Suri Reddy lodged a complaint with the police.

Jogendra Singh, 40, and his wife Chandrawati reached the police station around 10 am and poured kerosene on themselves. They set themselves on fire before anybody could respond. Within minutes, both were lying on the ground with their bodies on fire.

According to police officials, water was found in Siddhartha’s lungs and his death was due to drowning. “We have received the FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) report. It corroborates the suicide theory,” the commissioner told PTI.
