ICMR’s serosurvey finds Covid-19 antibodies in 73% population in Odisha

As many as 5,796 samples were collected from the community for the survey, out of which antibodies were observed in 4,247 samples.

Odisha official says people not turning up for 2nd Covid jab ‘despite reminders’

Dr Bijay Panigrahi, the nodal officer for Odisha's vaccination drive, said on Saturday that only 6.98 million beneficiaries have received both the doses, adding that 2.8 million more should have taken the second dose by now.

Covid-19: Odisha issues fresh unlock guidelines. Check what’s allowed

From Sunday, shops and malls across Odisha can reopen from 6am to 8pm, restaurants, bars and dhabas or roadside eateries can operate with 50 per cent seating capacity and cinema halls and theatres can also reopen with 50 per cent seating capacity, the new guidelines stated.

Odisha's Covid-19 caseload nearing 765,000; 8,313 new cases reported

Khurda district, which comprises the state capital Bhubaneswar, registered the maximum number of fresh cases at 974, followed by Cuttack (593), Mayurbhanj (532), Angul (505), Sundargarh (465), Balasore (452) and Dhenkanal (407).

Positivity rate declines, but Covid surge continues in rural Odisha

On Saturday, the test positivity rate (TPR) in Odisha dropped to 14.7% and the state reported 7,188 new infections from over 10,000 a couple of days ago, according to the state health department data.
