Delhi reports another death due to Covid-19 in 2 days, new cases lower than 50

With Sunday’s addition, the death toll due to Covid-19 in Delhi has already reached three in November. Last month, the city recorded a total of four deaths, which was the lowest monthly toll it had since March 2020.

Delhi sees 2 deaths as Covid cases rise

There have only been four deaths in the past 30 days, and six deaths were reported in the 30 days before that, and 14 in the 30 days prior. In comparison, at the peak of the second wave, 448 deaths were recorded in a single day on May 3.

The Covid-19 positivity rate, too, has started inching up, data shows. The seven-day average of positivity rate, which had dropped to a near all-time low of 0.05% three weeks ago (for the week ended October 22) has risen marginally to 0.9% for the week ended Friday.(HT File)

900 more ICU beds for kids as Delhi prepares for next Covid wave

Delhi records zero new Covid-19 death for fourth consecutive day

The national capital registered 17 new cases of the infection in the last 24 hours, which took the overall tally to 14,37,334, according to state government's health bulletin. This is a drastic improvement from a peak of 25,000 Covid-19 cases every day in April.

Health hubs gear up for 12-hour jabs test

Can vaccinate all of Delhi in 3 months, says CM Arvind Kejriwal

Emphasising that vaccination is the most effective way to control the spread of Covid-19, Kejriwal said that his government will increase daily inoculation capacity from 30,000-40,000 to 125,000 by doubling the number of centres from the existing 500, and extending their timing by four hours.
