A section of students belonging to the Students’ Federation of India began a protest on the main campus of Presidency University in Kolkata on Friday demanding opening of libraries, laboratories and the office.

The high court partly lifted restrictions at the hill shrine dedicated to Lord Ayyappa but said protests should not be held in Sabarimala.

RTE: parents hold another demonstration as students’ futures at stake

In Pune district, 42,108 applications were made for 16,422 seats in 983 private and public schools. However, only 6,499 students have received admissions out of 10,228, in Pune district, who were allotted schools in the first lottery results.
