Festival gives Sudanese film lovers drive-in cinema

Sudanese moviegoers are enjoying what organisers are saying is their first drive-in cinema after a festival showcasing the country's resurgent, post-uprising film scene moved outdoors this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
While Khaali Peeli was released on a pay-per-view online, and in drive in theatres too in two states, Coolie No 1 makers are rumoured to be thinking about releasing the film simultaneously on an OTT platform and theatres.

While this is certainly good news for single screens, what happens to the money making model? Is it feasible for the OTT platform themselves to allow this to happen, wouldn’t this hamper their views and subscriptions?
