Mallya files new petition against extradition order

Facing charges in India of financial irregularities amounting to over 9,000 crore, Mallya has been putting forth his version of events through social media in recent weeks, most recently on March 31.

Bookie Sanjeev Chawla files appeal in UK against extradition order

Suspected cricket bookie, Sanjeev Chawla, has filed an appeal in the administrative court of the high court against British home secretary Sajid Javid’s February 27 order for his extradition to India to face charges of alleged match-fixing.
Chawla, a key accused in the cricket match-fixing scandal involving former South African captain Hansie Cronje in 2000, has 14 days from the date of the order to file an application to seek leave to appeal against the order. (AFP)
