Prop artist arrested for making obscene video calls to unknown women

A prop artist working in Film City in Mumbai has been arrested for making obscene video calls to over 200 women across the country. He used a mobile app to find women's numbers and would make video calls to them while naked. He has been booked under several sections of the Indian Penal Code and the IT Act.

Finally, Chandigarh finalises start-up policy, notification likely by month-end

Chandigarh began drafting the policy in 2018, two years after Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the Start-up India Policy and directed UTs and states to frame their own policies tailored to the needs of entrepreneurs in their regions. However, due to several flip-flops, the UT missed multiple deadlines for enforcing the policy.

Finally, after five years, the Chandigarh administration has finalised its start-up policy. The presentation is scheduled before UT adviser Dharam Pal on October 23, with the notification expected in the last week of this month. (HT File)

Yeida begins process to build Pod Taxi project near Noida airport

Yeida intends to offer multimodal connectivity from Jewar to cities such as Delhi, Noida and Greater Noida

The concessioner will operate for 33 years, according to the request for proposal (RFP). The project will be transferred back to the authority after 35 years because the term for this project is that it will be built on a build, operate and transfer basis, which means that a private player will build the project and then transfer it back to the authority. Celebrities support plan to establish film city in Chandigarh

Chandigarh Music and Film Festival opened with celebrities calling for the establishment of a film city in the region to create jobs and promote filmmaking. Attendees included actors Rakul Preet Singh, Binnu Dhillon and Yashpal Sharma, as well as director Vinay Pathak and lyricist Shamsher Sandhu, among others. Chandigarh University Chancellor Satnam Singh Sandhu said that India should focus on becoming a global content creation hub. The festival, which is in its third year, aims to promote the art of filmmaking and music in the region.

Yeida to begin purchasing land from April for industrial development
