2 years after it fell, Delhi’s Ghazipur landfill stands tall, swells

At least 1 million metric tonne of garbage piled on it since September 1, 2017 (the date of the incident), taking its total mass from 13 to 14 million metric tonnes. The garbage added is 7 times the weight of the Signature Bridge, can fill up 15 Hauz Khas Lakes and create another 28-storey ‘Civic Center’ (the tallest building in Delhi).
