Chanchal, then 12, was feared dead but some good samaritans handed her over to an orphanage in Jammu, said director Gyanendra Mishra of NGO Childline Aligarh which helped in bringing the girl home.

Petition filed against ‘decision’ of Punjab govt to give smart phones

Petitioner Hari Chand urged the high court to restrain the Punjab government from giving smart phones to youths as it would lead to “wasteful expenditure of Rs 150 crore to provide 15 lakh smart phones”.
