Indian markets hit record high; Nifty at 16,000, Sensex up 400 points: 10 points

Among stocks, Titan surged by 4 per cent to 1,843.90 per share while Asian Paints was up by 2.2 per cent. HCL Tech, Bajaj Auto, Tata Steel, ICICI Bank and NTPC were among the laggards.

Markets recover despite Fed’s taper talk

Weak currency, rising crude prices and fears related to sustainability of foreign institutional investor inflows because of the taper talk by the US Federal Reserve had increased the concerns of investors in the past couple of days.

Sensex rallies over 500 pts; Nifty tops 14,850 after trade resumption

  • After resumption of trade at 3.45 pm, NSE Nifty was quoting 152.95 points or 1.04 per cent up at 14,860.75.
HDFC Bank was the top gainer in the Sensex pack, rising around 3 per cent, followed by Bajaj Finance, SBI, Axis Bank, HDFC and Reliance Industries.(PTI)

Sensex, Nifty end 6-day winning run ahead of GDP data

The S&P BSE Sensex dropped 931.74 points or 2.36% at 38,535.57 and the broader NSE Nifty 50 benchmark was at 11,369.15, down 278.45 points or 2.39%, paring all gains.

Sensex, Nifty soar to fresh highs on global leads
