JEE main 2021: NTA Director Dr. Vineet Joshi late on Tuesday evening informed HT online that the date for JEE Mains 2021 and its registration are expected to be announced shortly.

Around 569 students from Delhi government schools qualified NEET this year and 443 cleared JEE Mains. According to a statement issued by the government, Kejriwal and Sisodia congratulated the students and their parents.

To address the concerns of JEE candidates who failed to appear in the exam after registering for it, they will be allowed to take JEE (Advanced) in 2021 without having to take and pass JEE (Main), IIT-Delhi said in a statement.

JEE Advanced 2020 : The Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE- Advanced 2020) paper 2 exam has concluded. The exam was conducted amid strict protocols in order to prevent the candidates from getting infected with Coronavirus. The exam organising authority IIT- Delhi said in an official statement that 96% of the total candidates appeared in the exam on Sunday. 1,51,311 candidates took the Paper 1 exam and 1,50,900 candidates took the paper 2 exam. JEE Advanced was conducted in two shifts. The paper 1 exam was held from 9 am to 12 noon and the second slot exam was held from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. JEE-Advanced 2020 was conducted across 222 cities and over 1,000 exam centres this year. Many aspirants of the Joint Entrance Examination-Advanced (JEE-Adv) are worried that they may not be able to reach their test centres, as they have been allocated centres that are too far away.

JEE Advanced 2020: While the top 2.5 lakh students who cleared JEE-Mains were eligible for the examination this year, only 1.60 lakh students finished the registration process by Friday evening. Over 200,000 candidates did not take the Joint Entrance Examination or JEE (Main) exam held earlier this month, a figure that is more than double the number of absentees the previous year, according to data shared by the Union education ministry in the Rajya Sabha.
Students attempting entrance exams during the pandemic have had to face quite a few challenges right from the overwhelming lockdown to travelling safe to the examination centre, and the postponement of exam dates.
