Bengaluru has so far reported a total of 9.50 lakh Covid-19 cases and 8,057 deaths. Ballari has emerged as the next major Covid hotspot in Karnataka with 2,141 infections and 21 fatalities.

As many as 346 people succumbed to the Covid-19 disease in Karnataka while 26,841 were discharged in the last 24 hours, according to the state health department's bulletin.
Kumaraswamy informed Modi that Mysuru and Chamarajanagar districts require 70 tonnes of oxygen on a daily basis due to their volume of cases and severity of infections.

Hospitals in several parts of Karnataka, including the capital city of Bengaluru, have raised concerns over the gaps in oxygen supply. Some hospitals in Kalaburagi and Belagavi are telling patients to bring their own oxygen cylinders, according to news agency PTI.
