Haryana has done well in all three editions of KIYG. While they came second in both 2019 and 2020 editions (200 medals in 2020 and 159 medals in 2019), Haryana won it in 2018 with 102 podium finishes (38 gold, 26 silver, 38 bronze).

The Maharashtra girl had to tackle both to win the U-17 girls’ tennis final against Gujarat’s Priyanshi Bhandari 6-2, 5-7, 7-5 at the Khelo India Games. She had also won the U-17 girls’ doubles gold with Gargi Pawar.

Uttar Pradesh were dominant in the men’s category with gymnasts Rafey and Raj Yadav grabbing gold and silver with scores of 68.25 and 67.50 respectively. Delhi’s Tushar Kalyan clinched the bronze medal with an all-round score of 66.90. Tushar had won the bronze medal at the Khelo India School Games last year.
