IPL 2020, KKR vs KXIP Highlights: Mandeep, Gayle fifties guide KXIP to 8-wicket win

IPL 2020 Highlights: A hundred-run partnership between Mandeep Singh and Chris Gayle guided Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) to an 8-wicket win against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 46th Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 match in Sharjah. In pursuit of a 150-run target, KXIP lost KL Rahul (28) in the 8th over. Chris Gayle stepped in to amplify the run-chase, scoring 51 off 29 balls including 5 sixes. Mandeep was the top-scorer with unbeaten 66 runs off 56 deliveries. Earlier, Mohammed Shami turned out to be the wrecker-in-cheif as Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) restricted Kolkata Knight Riders to 149 for 9. The KXIP speedster returned with figures of 3/35, removing Rahul Tripathi (7), Dinesh Karthik (0) and KKR’s top-scorer Shubman Gill (57). Chris Jordan (2/25) and Ravi Bishnoi (2/20) picked 2 wickets apiece while Murugan Ashwin (1/27) and Glenn Maxwell (1/21) settled with a wicket each. KKR were put to bat first after losing the toss. They had a horrible start, losing 3 wickets in the first two overs. Gill and Morgan led the counter attack, adding 81 runs to the fourth wicket. But Bishnoi removed the Morgan (40) in the 10th overs after which the KKR innings started falling apart. KXIP won the toss and opted to field first against. Both teams are played the same team. IPL 2020 Highlights, Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) vs Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH): Arshdeep Singh (3/23) and Chris Jordan (3/17) turned the tables with their bowling prowess as Kings XI Punjab thrashed Sunrisers Hyderabad by 12 runs in the 43rd Indian Premier League 2020 match today in Dubai. In pursuit of a 127-run target, SRH went off to a brisk start. However, the line-up tumbled after the dismissals of David Warner (35) and Jonny Bairstow (19). Manish Pandey (15) and Vijay Shankar (26) tried to steady the innings. But they fell prey to Chris Jordan and Arshdeep Singh respectively. With 14 required off the last over, SRH lost three wickets in the 20th over and lost the game by 12 runs. Three off the last six batsmen secured ducks which ensured KXIP’s win. Mohammed Shami (1/34), Murugan Ashwin (1/27) and Ravi Bishnoi (1/13) settled with a wicket apiece. Earlier, SRH won the toss and opted to filed first against KXIP. Rashid Khan (2/14), Jason Holder (2/27) and Sandeep Sharma (2/29) were among wickets as Sunrisers Hyderabad restricted Kings XI Punjab to 126 for 7 in their 20 overs. This is also the lowest 1st innings total at Dubai in IPL 2020. Skipper KL Rahul (27) and Chris Gayle (20) departed early in the innings. Glenn Maxwell once again struggled with the bat as he managed to score just 12 runs of 13 deliveries. IPL 2020 Highlights, Mumbai Indians (MI) vs Kings XI Punjab (KXIP): Kings XI Punjab won the second super over against Mumbai Indians after scores levelled twice - once in the allotted 20 overs and then again in the first Super Over - in the 36th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 in Dubai. MI won the toss and they elected to bat first. A fifty from Quinton de Kock (53), a fiery cameo by Kieron Pollard (34*) and Nathan Coulter-Nile(24*) powered MI to 176 for 6 in 20 overs. In reply, KXIP finished with the same score and tied the game. Skipper KL Rahul top-scored with 77 while Deepak Hooda remained unbeaten on 23 off 16 balls. The match entered the Super Over where Kings XI Punjab batted first and put 5/1 on the board. Mumbai Indians amassed as many runs in return, forcing a second super over to be played. Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya came out to bat in the final Super Over as MI posted 11/1. I will always support a team decision

RCB chose to bat first against Kings XI Punjab, and I was expecting to go in at No.4 as usual. In fact, when the second wicket fell, with our score 62 for two in the sixth over, I started to make my way through the gate that leads out to the wicket.
