According to the police, in December 2018, the victim was introduced to a man, who said he had a private job in the city. The woman had a part-time job and the man promised to set up a job interview for her.

The couple, identified as Kuldeep Singh and his wife Mamta, had allegedly opened a sports academy at a private school in Kurukshetra’s Durala village and duped several students from on the pretext of helping them secure admission at the Sports Authority of India’s Sonepat centre.

Indian Army and National Disaster Relief Force personnel were trying to reach Seema in Rashidapur through a parallel channel that was being dug up, said the officials. She was found at 26 foot on Thursday morning and on Friday morning, she went further into the borewell at 34 foot, according to officials.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tuesday kicked off the BJP’s poll campaign for the Lok Sabha election to be held later this year in Haryana’s Kurukshetra on Tuesday where he is also addressed a programme dedicated to women.The state government and district administration have, however, claimed that the day-long visit is a non-political event as Modi will take part in Swachh Shakti 2019 but it assumes political significance as it comes a few months before the Lok Sabha polls.His trip to the state also comes on the heels of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s victory in Jind bypoll and a good show in the mayoral elections earlier.:

As per police officials, her father wanted her to stay at home and study but she went to the wedding without his permission. Enraged that she had refused to obey him, the father took out his licensed weapon and fired three rounds at her.
