Sushma Swaraj, who was the chief minister of Delhi for a brief period from October-December 1998, passed away on Tuesday night due to cardiac arrest.

South Delhi election results 2019: Madan Lal Khurana, Sushma Swaraj have won from South Delhi

In 2009, Congress won South Delhi seat after delimitation. And in 2014, BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri defeated Col Devinder Sehrawat of AAP. BJP had won all seven seats that year in Delhi, which is set for a three-way contest this time with AAP and Congress failing to form an alliance.

Former Delhi chief minister Madan Lal Khurana breathed his last on Saturday at the age of 82. His family members donated his eyes to Dadichi Sansthan.
