In MP, school teachers to take exams for poor performance of students

In all, 3500 teachers of these schools will take the examination on June 12. This was decided after a review meeting over poor board exam results especially of class 10.

Madhya Pradesh government has received complaints from many farmers across the state that the amount of loan mentioned against their names in the list of beneficiaries is much less than the loans they had taken from the cooperative societies and banks, said official sources.

The MISA gave police sweeping powers like taking people into preventive detention indefinitely to counter threats, including those to the national security in the 1970s. The law was used during the national emergency, which the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi imposed from 1975 to 1977, to suppress dissent. It was repealed in 1977 when the Congress was voted out of power.
