UP medical colleges set to get 1,000 more MBBS seats

The MCI is also likely to grant approval to 300 seats for economic weaker section (EWS) in UP medical colleges. At present, there were 1,990 MBBS seats in medical colleges located in the state, he said.

Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) Board held a meeting recently during which it submitted its report to the Registrar of MUHS asking them to remove the contents about “virginity test” from the medical curriculum of fMBBS course on the ground that it has no scientific basis.

Only 45 varsities permitted to teach MBBS in English in China: Beijing

China has clarified that apart from the 45 listed universities, foreign students will be taught medicine in Chinese; Indian students should be ready to learn Chinese while studying medicine, and receive their degree in Chinese - and not in English.
