Encroachments, concretisation lead to floods in Pune’s Aundh and Baner areas

The official sources from the irrigation department on condition of anonymity said that both PMC and PCMC are responsible for the flood-like situation in the Aundh, Baner, Sanghvi and Pimple Nilakh.

Pune residents suffer as PCMC fails to check hyacinth, mosquito breeding

In view of public furore over the hyacinth-mosquito menace, mayor Nitin Kalje had directed the health department to clear the water logging caused by hyacinth in the Pavana, Indrayani and Mula rivers.
