235 suggestions on hacking of 1,600 trees for infra projects in Mumbai

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) received around 235 suggestions and objections during a public hearing, over its plan to cut around 1,600 trees for two infrastructure projects – the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) and the Vakola-Kurla elevated road.

According to MMRDA, the corridor will reduce travel time by acting as a connector between the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) and NH4B, connecting Mumbai to Goa on one end and the Mumbai-Pune Expressway with NH 17 on the other end.
