ED had filed its complaint against the two ministers, Trinamool Congress legislator Madan Mitra, former Kolkata mayor Sovan Chatterjee and suspended Indian Police Service officer S M H Meerza in the special Central Bureau of Investigation court.

Chief minister Mamata Banerjee has accused the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) of making “false allegations” about her sitting in protest outside CBI’s Kolkata office after the arrest of two Trinamool Congress (TMC) ministers and another prominent MLA on May 17 in connection with the case.
