Farm protests: Cops wanted Delhi-bound trains stopped

Citing intelligence inputs, Delhi Police told Northern Railways on Sunday that farmers from Punjab and Haryana planned to protest in the Capital on Monday and hoist flags on Parliament House, according to two letters written by the force.

Punjab: Northern Railways cancels, short-terminates trains due to farmer agitations

The 02425 /02426 New Delhi- Jammutawi -New Delhi Rajdhani express train journey commencing on October 2 has been cancelled. The 02053 /02054 Haridwar - Amritsar-Haridwar express special train and the 04652 Amritsar - Jaynagar express special train commencing their journeys on October 2 have been cancelled.

Bajghera underpass to open on June 15, overbridge incomplete

After Bajghera crossing was blocked for traffic, the residents of Palam Vihar, New Palam Vihar, Ashok Vihar, sectors 99-115 and several other nearby areas only had the option of using the Daulatabad flyover and the manually managed Chauma railway crossing, both of which happen to be highly congested.
