Rajasthan: A weekend curfew has been announced in the state from 6pm on Friday till 5am on Monday, in addition to the existing night curfew from 6pm and 6am till April 30.

Delhi records over 1,000 Covid-19 cases for fourth day on the trot

On average, 85,300 tests were conducted daily during the past four days in comparison to nearly 76,000 tests conducted daily in the seven days before that and over 69,200 the week before that.

Maharashtra on Friday announced the imposition of a night curfew across the state from March 28 in an attempt to curb the outbreak. The state, which is the worst-hit by the virus, reported 36,902 new cases – highest single-day increase ever.

India recorded 39,726 new cases of the viral disease in the last 24 hours, the Union ministry of health and family welfare’s (MoHFW) dashboard showed on Friday morning, taking its infection tally to 11,514,331.
In Madhya Pradesh, the daily case rate went up 277%, while the average positivity rate rose 3.3 percentage points. (PTI)
