Delhi govt waives parking charges on impounded vehicles

Vehicles that get impounded for any violation are taken into custody and parked at impounding pits located in Burari, Dwarka and Sarai Kale Khan.

Chandigarh residents’ body up in arms against hiked water tariff

Now, drop passengers at Chandigarh airport for free

Now, for 30-minute parking, the fee will be ₹30 for cars and ₹10 for two-wheelers, while for parking up to two hours, the charges will be ₹85 and ₹20, respectively.

In a major relief to people visiting the airport, the Chandigarh International Airport Limited (CHIAL) has removed any fee for dropping off passengers, and slashed the hourly charges for parking vehicles.

Supreme Court panel against dilution of policy on paid parking

Authorities must charge a fee for parking of vehicles in residential neighbourhoods, the Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority (EPCA) told the Supreme Court on Friday, taking a stand that’s opposed to the Delhi government’s.

Car buying gets costly in Delhi as one-time parking charges hiked up to 18 times

The transport department collects the parking charges on behalf of the MCDs, which claim that it is meant for creating parking infrastructure in Delhi. The proposal by the three MCDs to hike the charges was pending for quite sometime and was cleared by the transport commissioner on her last day in office, an official said.
