Fuel prices up for 4th day, petrol at Rs 76.13 per litre in Delhi

Since Wednesday, petrol prices have gone up by a cumulative 57-61 paise per litre and diesel rates raised by 48-51 paise per litre

States will get to levy additional taxes on top of 28% GST on petrol, diesel: Sushil Modi

45-50% of tax revenues of states come from petrol and diesel, Sushil Kumar Modi said.

Petrol, diesel demand in India rises to record highs in May

In May, diesel sales soared to 7.55 million tonnes and petrol consumption climbed to 2.46 million tonnes - the highest monthly sales figures in PPAC data going back to April 1998.

LPG cylinders to be costlier in another setback after fuel price hike

Non-subsidised LPG cylinders will now cost Rs 42 more per cylinder in Delhi, while price for subsidised cylinders has been hiked by Rs 2.34 per cylinder.

Petrol and diesel prices cut by just 1 paisa, IOC says 60 paise reduction a ‘clerical error’

After 16 days of hike, petrol and diesel prices were shown to have been cut by up to 60 paise on the IOC website. It later emerged that the actual price cut was just 1 paise.

Petrol, diesel prices hiked again, rates highest since 2013

With this increase, the petrol price in Delhi is 76.24, breaching the previous high of 76.06 on September 14, 2013. Diesel rates are also at the all-time high level.
