Punjab cabinet approves restoring benefits to 10.77 lakh ration card holders
Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann announced the decision at a press conference after the meeting. He said these ration cards were earlier deleted during the verification process and the cabinet decided to restore them keeping in view the larger public interest

Mallick made wife, daughter directors of shell company, ED tells court
West Bengal forest minister Jyotipriya Mallick, who was arrested in the alleged PDS scam, made his wife and daughter directors of three shell companies, the Enforcement Directorate claimed. The court remanded Mallick in judicial custody till November 16. The alleged scam took place when Mallick was the food minister in the TMC government. The ED claimed that Mallick instructed his chartered accountants to make his wife and daughter directors of the shell companies, which are under investigation. Mallick denies the allegations.
