In the third and final part of its investigation into the Rafale deal, Mediapart, a French online journal claimed that the payments to Gupta were channelled through offshore accounts and shell companies, using inflated invoices for software consulting. Gupta’s name figures in the AgustaWestland charge sheet.

These fighter jets will take off from Bordeaux in France and will be provided mid-air refuelling by the UAE. The next batch of Rafale will come in April.
The three fighters will take off from Merignac airbase in Bordeaux at 7am on March 31 and are expected to land in Gujarat around 7pm.

Five Rafales of the 36 ordered by the IAF arrived at the Ambala airbase on July 29, ending the IAF’s agonizing wait for new fighter jets to sharpen its combat potential. While IAF chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria and other senior officials welcomed the Rafales and the pilots on their arrival, a formal induction ceremony is being held now.
