With eye on reducing trade deficit, India pitches for rice exports to China

As many as 44 Chinese companies attended a seminar to promote the import of Indian rice to China, which has only recently opened up the non-basmati market to Indian exporters. For Indian rice exporters, the Chinese market value at $1.5 billion to $2 billion is a lucrative one.
