Defence ministry lays down protocol for closing roads in cantonments

The local military authorities can initiate the process of closing roads by providing reasons.
All closed roads in cantonments will be reopened immediately

Defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman convened a meeting attended by MPs and vice-presidents of all 62 cantonments which came to a decision that all closed roads in cantonment areas will be reopened immediately.
