According to the Chief Minister’s Office, 6,000 people have been evacuated from low-lying areas in view of a forecast of heavy to very heavy rainfall for the next two days in Gujarat.

Cyclone Vayu is very likely to cross Gujarat coast between Porbandar and Mahuva as a very severe cyclonic storm, today. The IMD has issued a warning of heavy rains and high winds at a speed of over 110 km per hour on June 13 and 14 in the coastal areas of Saurashtra and Kutch.
