Komalpreet Kaur, a college student from Punjab, has been selected to represent the state in the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi, becoming the first girl cadet from Punjab to do so. UPPCS-2023: Women candidates register biggest success in 11 years
The results of the PCS-2023 exam in Uttar Pradesh show a significant increase in the number of women candidates selected compared to previous years, although their representation in the top-10 list has decreased. Out of 251 candidates selected, 84 are women. The increase in women's success in the exam is seen as a milestone for girl education and women empowerment. However, only two women made it to the top-10 list this year.
