No pension for govt staffers if service less than 10 years: Himachal minister

Replying to another question of Hans Raj (BJP), the industries minister said that the Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission (HPSSC) was scrapped on February 21, 2023 in the wake of allegations of paper leak and it has been replaced by the Himachal Pradesh State Chayan Aayog on September 30, 2023 to ensure transparency in selection process

He said that a cabinet sub-committee has been set up to take decisions for considering declaration of the pending test results and the decisions would be taken after the recommendations of the sub-committee are received (HT File)

Corpus fund to take care of kin of KGMU teachers who die on duty

The King George?s Medical University teachers? association will contribute one day's salary every month for up to five years to create a corpus fund to help the families of teachers who die while in service. The interest from the fund will help such families financially. The association's members were also re-elected unopposed, including Dr KK Singh as president. Dr Singh called for the university to get its executive council four elected members in addition to the existing nominated members to ensure that decisions related to patient care and teacher services are thoroughly discussed.

Prayagraj Municipal Corporation will assess compliance by two dozen city hotels on notices issued earlier and issue fresh notices if the directives have not been followed yet. IIT-B students voice against paying for opting out of mess food

As per an RTI based on three dormitories which were submitted by a student group at IIT-B, approximately 60% who pay for the mess service avoid eating there. IIT-B charges every student ₹1,260 per month to opt out of the service, which comes to ₹7,560 every semester.
