According to PMPML director Siddharth Shirole, Shravan Hardikar, the current Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) commissioner, and Rajendra Jagtap, the chief executive officer of the Pune Smart City Development Corporation Ltd, are the top contenders for the job.
