Currently, the hospital doesn’t have a pharmacist, a lab technician or a radiographer. Also, 69 of the 90 sanctioned posts for staff nurses are lying vacant. The hospital also lacks a clinical psychologist and a physiotherapist.

To meet staff shortage, UPPCL to hire services of retired personnel

The UPPCL will engage its retired staff on a contract basis for a fixed tenure and salary denying them any administrative and financial powers.

At Garhi Mandu, officials were found struggling to manage the compensatory plantations for projects dating back decades. They said till seven years after compensatory plantation begins, there is hardly any stock-taking for the number of trees that are actually planted or survived by the severely short-staffed Delhi government’s forest department.
