In spite of the long and tiring day participating in a range of engagements, from the roadshow to addressing a mammoth crowd during the ‘Namaste Trump’ event, the US President was seen taking immense interest during the visit to the Taj, noticing minute details, inquiring of them with the guide accompanying the First couple.

Watch: Donald & Melania Trump visit Taj Mahal, pose for cameras holding hands

<p>The Trump family visited the Taj Mahal during the US President's visit to India. Following the mega 'Namaste Trump' event in Ahmedabad, Donald Trump and his wife flew to Agra in Uttar Pradesh. They were received there by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Governor Anandiben Patel and the US Ambassador Kenneth Juster. The President's daughter Ivanka Trump was also present at the airport. Then the Trumps proceeded to the Taj Mahal along a heavily decorated route along which more dancers depicted India's varied culture. Finally, the Trumps took a guided tour of the Mughal monument and also posed in front of one of the seven wonders of the world.</p>

Taj Mahal ticket counters to close at 11:30 am on Monday for US President Donald Trump’s visit

The monument which earned the UNESCO World Heritage tag in 1983 has some wonderful specimens of polychrome inlay art both in the interior and exterior on the dados, on cenotaphs and on the marble jhajjhari (jali-screen) around them, according to the ASI.

Agra admin to follow SC guidelines, e-vehicle to take Trumps to the Taj
