Tim Walz
Timothy James Walz, born April 6, 1964, is Democratic nominee for vice president in the 2024 election and serving as the 41st Governor of Minnesota since 2019. Before his governorship, he was a U.S. Representative from Minnesota's 1st congressional district for over a decade. A retired non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Army and a former educator, Walz has a background that combines military service with teaching.
In 2018, he won the governorship, focusing on key initiatives such as expanding access to education through free college tuition for low-income families, implementing universal gun background checks, and codifying abortion rights.
