  • Delhi traffic police requested road users to accordingly plan their journies and avoid the route of parade and tableaux, from 4 am to 12:30 pm for their own convenience.

Traffic restrictions in New Delhi for R-Day rehearsals between Sun and Thurs

“The route for the rehearsals will be from Vijay Chowk to C-Hexagon via Rajpath and there will be restricted traffic crossings at Rajpath-Rafi Marg, Rajpath-Janpath, Rajpath-Mansingh Road and Rajpath-C Hexagon,” said Manish Kumar Agrawal, joint commissioner of traffic police.
The officials also advised commuters to avoid the 1.3-kilometre arterial route between the college and 32nd Avenue.(HTphotos)

Cops issue traffic advisory for counting day

Traffic police officials further said that the counting staff, counting agents and candidates, who will come to the counting centre from the direction of MDI Chowk will have to park their vehicles at the ITI building.

Traffic police officials advised commuters to avoid the stretch especially on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays until April 19 due to the presence of a large number of devotees.
