Residents of seven SRA buildings in Mumbai have been struggling after their power supply was cut off, leaving them without elevators and impacting their water supply. The lack of electricity is due to unpaid accumulated power, water, and property tax bills. The residents are demanding that the developer, Omkar Realtors and Developers, pay their outstanding dues, which amount to INR 95.23 lakh ($132,000). The power supply was temporarily restored after residents sought help from the guardian minister.

After Bhira dam water, NMMC seeks Patalganga river water for future needs

The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) is seeking alternative water sources to meet the increasing demand for water supply due to population growth and development projects. The options being considered include utilising groundwater, sourcing water from nearby areas, increasing the height of the Morbe dam, diverting water from the Patalganga river, and exploring other dams. The NMMC is also interested in obtaining water from the Tata Power House dam in Kolad. The goal is to ensure self-sufficiency in water supply to attract talent and business to the region.
